The Gingham Shirt Dress
Boston weather has seriously had no mercy on us as the temps do not seem to be budging much even with the first day of Spring just a couple of days away. Nevertheless, I have not let this stop me from swooning over the latest Spring trends that are going to be making waves this year, which includes gingham.
As I have mentioned before in my recent monochrome outfit post, black and white looks are some of my favorite looks ever to wear so when I noticed gingham print all over the shops, I was very excited. This is a classic print that can be worn in so many different ways since it is so neutral.
I picked up this oversized shirt dress from Zara (similar here) as the first gingham piece in my wardrobe and I am so obsessed with it. First of all, it is so flattering because it is oversized so even if you stuff your face at lunch or dinner, this dress will hide your food baby like no other! It also has this chic vibe because of the way the hem is cut with the back being slightly longer than the front and the rolled sleeves.
As much as I wanted to pair this with some cute, dainty shoes, I had to keep warm and went for my over the knee stuart weiztman boots instead. The wool coat also had to be done so I wouldn’t freeze during the photo shoot and it is from Uniqlo. I decided to add a leopard bag to finish off the outfit to make it a little more interesting and I love mixing prints. I can’t wait to purchase more gingham pieces this coming Spring and of course share with you all! xo
